Hi Tim-

I am interested in any aggregate data you may have collected around the answers to the questions Charlene Stiles asked about "time off" options.

Thank you.

Charlene, I hope you were able to get feedback from the community. I am an attorney in private practice. A substantial portion of my practice involves the representation of senior care facilities. To the extent you or any of your colleagues have any questions, whether it be regulatory, employment, guardianship, etc., please let me know. I would be happy to help. you can always email me offline at [email protected].

From Charlene Stiles, director of HR for the Wiley Mission:

I’m wondering what type of “time off” you are implementing with those who need to stay home to take care of children, sick relatives or if the employee is sick.
Earned sick leave is available for all of this but if all ESL is used already I’m wondering the following:
1.) Are you offering additional sick leave?
2.) If yes, are you requiring positive test result?
3.) Are you allowing employees’ to go into the “negative” on paid time off?
4.) Are you mandating employees use vacation, personal days or PTO time to cover absences?
5.) FMLA would also cover CoVID19 but for those who don’t meet the min number of hours worked, would you offer one of the above?

Thank you for your feedback and stay healthy.
