My understanding is that certain employers are considering making disaster payments to employees. These payments may be tax free to employees under Section 139 of the IRS Code. In certain circumstances, they are tax free and fully deductible. This may be an attractive option for employers and employees alike. You must be careful to follow the regulations closely as not all payments will qualify. Tim ford, Esq.

I know of at least one NJ NFP operator of group homes (MH/DD) is paying a $250/week incremental stipend to direct caregivers.

Hi Bob,

I have not heard anything as of yet. I'm in the process of reaching out to other non-profit organizations for information.

Thanks,
John

Good morning,

I’m looking for information pertaining to other nonprofit organizations in different types of pay and/or incentives programs for your teams during the virus crisis.

Thank you,
John

What are you all doing for your staff during this period ? In particular, are you giving your direct care staff any bonus or stipend ? If so, how much?
